Dear Comrades,
On behalf of the Nepalese People’s Progressive Front, Europe, we extend our warm gratitude to the organizer, NDFP, for inviting us to participate in this important international theoretical conference on Economic Crisis of Imperialism.
Red Salute to all comrades attending this conference. Allow me to outline briefly some points on the subject:
- Imperialists have been systematically exploiting the people of the world. Capitalism has innovated and developed in Science and technology enormously. The new technologies displace the traditional economic relations.
- Globalized capitalism, imperialism, with its deceptive nature, reaches every corner of the world, extending its market through business, politics and military interventions.
- Analyzing the contradictions and their own financial data reveals that Imperialism and capitalist system is in crisis. They rely on exploitation, military intervention, loan and debt to survive. They attempt to prolong their existence by seizing resources from other countries, particularly from oppressed nations.
- Although the demise of imperialism is inevitable due to its crisis, the timing remains uncertain. Imperial powers will try to prolong their dominance through alternative tactic. Our struggle must aim to bring imperialism to an end and prepare to transform the reactionary state to scientific socialism and defending revolutionary activities.
- Neoliberals and privatization infringe upon the sovereignty of nations, manipulating politics, laws, taxes, and trade systems in the name of competition, free markets, and human rights. The unbridled expansion of capitalism makes the poor countries to mere markets for selling goods.
- The capitalist culture is intoxicating people in private interests, conservative thinking and capitalist life style. It motivates the people to commit whatever kind of immoral, cruel and violent activities. Concepts like society, humanity, equality, freedom, and community lose their meaning.
- Led by the US, Imperialism intervenes in the domestic affairs of other nations aggressively, employing tactics to sabotage revolutionary and freedom movements. It targets not only revolutionaries but also reformists and patriots.
- The explanation of Lenin on Imperialism focused on capital, industrialization, and centralization of the capital. Today, imperialism manifests in a globalized way.
- The “America first” policy establishes security alliances and exploits oppressed nations to serve imperial interests. Imperialists also employ religious activities, NGOs, and INGOs to influence a society.
- Nepal holds strategic significance for US imperialism in countering China. Previously US operated her activities through India but now US directly interferes in Nepal. The comprador capitalist regime of Nepal serves the interests of US imperialism and regional imperialism India.
- Despite parliamentary approval, the MCC remains stalled in Nepal due to persistent protests by Nepal Communist Party (NCP) led by Biplav. Construction companies fear involvement to start the project of MCC due to ongoing resistance.
- Under the guise of the MCC, America secretly negotiated the SPP with the Security force of Nepal, allowing for joint operations openly. However, due to NCP-led opposition, American presence remains prevented but it is known that they have been working secretly.
- Indian entrepreneurs dominate 62 percent of Nepal’s business sector, exerting influence across Nepalese society. India supports Hindu fundamentalists in restoring the monarchy, jeopardizing federal democratic republic system of Nepal. The government of Nepal though mostly led by Lefts becomes unpopular among the mass. Imperialists have been looking for their new puppets.
- Imperialism stands as the primary adversary in Nepal. Failure to recognize this reality risks Nepal to be another Ukraine.
- The NCP wages Unified People’s Revolution against comprador capitalism of Nepal and Imperialism to establish Nepal a Federal Socialist Republic State. The party wages political struggle, class struggle, and increasing organizational strength rapidly. The party extends its agenda for unity among Maoist forces and revolutionaries and form social fronts with leftist, middle-class and patriotic forces to establish a Federal Socialist republic State on the path to scientific socialism.
- There is a huge unsatisfactory consumer society. We need to motivate them against the deed of capitalism and try to drive them to the road for socialism.
- The political and organizational efforts of NCP has been influencing rapidly, guiding Nepalese politics towards socialism.
- The NCP prioritizes the development of proletarian culture, making physical labor mandatory for leaders and activists. Through agricultural initiatives, thousands of activists contribute to self-sufficiency. It makes the party self-dependent and popular among the mass. The party is able to build big communes in different parts of the country.
- We observed 10 years of People’s war, a vicious revolutionary struggle against feudalism and imperialism together. But the peace process gives us new experiences and now the politics of Nepal is polarizing sharply towards socialism. Blocking international interference in Nepal gives the way to socialism soon. We believe that such conferences have important significance to build international networks of revolutionaries to struggle against imperialism and gear up revolution.
Live with people, Work with people, struggle against reactionaries and imperialism, transform to scientific socialism and defending scientific socialism can end imperialism.
